Are you looking to explore your creativity and try your hand at ceramics? Then, look no further than our Clay Planters hand building workshop! Join us as we experiment with texture, shape, and colour, using pinch, slab, and coiling techniques to create the desired shape and texture your beautiful unique planters.
First, the clay is wedged to remove air pockets and ensure consistency. Then, it’s shaped and molded into the desired form using one or more of the above techniques. The surface may be decorated with various tools, textures, or glazes. Afterward, the planter is left to dry before being fired in a kiln to harden and strengthen the clay. Finally, the planter is glazed and kiln fired again.
Throughout the workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to make and decorate two to three medium-sized ceramic planters, perfect for displaying your favourite succulents or small houseplants. Plus, you’ll receive guidance and support (and a lot of laughs) from our experienced tutor Cobi tfj Bosch.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned pro, our Mini Planter workshop is designed to provide an engaging and fun learning experience for all. You’ll leave with not only your own beautiful planters but also newfound skills and knowledge in the art of ceramics.

All materials and equipment is provided for this workshop.
Please allow a few weeks for your pots to be ready for collection. Our kilns work for a lot of classes and workshops and have limited capacity.
Please wait for us to email you, if we haven’t emailed you then your items are not ready for collection.
If you do not collect your pieces within one month of receiving the email, we reserve the right to dispose of them. We have limited space to store uncollected items.
