Bring several photos, either on your phone or printed, that feature a strong key colour. These photos will be the foundation of your painting, providing inspiration and a colour palette to work from.
Process for the Tiny Paintings workshop:
We’ll begin by applying the key colour from your photo to the tiny canvas background. This initial layer sets the tone and feeling of your artwork.
Then Gradually build your painting by starting with the dominant elements in your photo. As you progress, you will move on to finer details. We’ll always be mindful of the key colour that ties the piece together.
Sensitive Artistry:
Embrace the sensitivity of the process by choosing to leave parts of the key-coloured background exposed. This approach prevents overworking the piece and adds a unique, unfinished charm to your painting.
