Make a Leather Journal in a Saturday workshop, Auckland

Join Elise De Silva, for a fun day in our Make a Leather Journal workshop. Enjoy the art of crafting your very own leather-bound journal, all in a day. Use a blend of new and upcycled materials to create your own treasured keepsake journal.

This workshop is a crafting adventure and an initiation into the realm of leatherwork. Elise will guide participants step by step through the whole process, so you take home your finished unique journal.

First you will carefully curate your own selection of materials. We’ll use beautiful leather to create the covers. Then move on to choosing a mix of upcycled papers, vintage fabrics, and charming embellishments. Elise will share her skills in the art of repurposing materials. Your journal will finish with recycled elegance and a lot of personal meaning ready to continue with additions.

The Make a Leather Journal workshop is perfect for anyone including novices and experienced crafters. All you need is to be enthusiastic and keen to learn something new. You will develop essential crafting skills that can be transferred to other projects or used to design and create more journals to give to others.

Take this opportunity as freedom of a day to yourself. Let your creative juices flow and learn how to transform ordinary items into an extraordinary treasure to keep and use.

Enjoy a relaxed day that is organised and with structure. You will finish your beautifully constructed journal which will celebrate the beauty of repurposing. Your leather-bound junk journal will be filled with expression, pages of your interests and things close to your heart. It will be totally unique. Book your spot today and step into a world where creativity knows no bounds.
