Join us in this Intro to Watercolours workshop for a lovely day of experimenting with watercolour paint.

In this workshop, we will learn the basic watercolour techniques such as wet on wet and wet on dry. We will learn how to mix washes, texturing techniques and how to control the brush.

WHO IS THIS WORKSHOP FOR?

This workshop is designed for beginners only, as it goes through the fundamentals of painting with watercolours.
It is a great tester if you are considering joining our term time class Watercolour for Beginner with Elise. This is a low commitment option so you can see if you like it before booking for the term.

-How to have fun with watercolours
-Understanding your supplies

ABOUT YOUR TUTOR:

Elise De Silva is a local artist, specialising in watercolours and landscapes. She loves plein-air painting and loves capturing beautiful sceneries.

I’m a full-time, award winning artist and writer working out of my studio in Auckland. My favourite medium is watercolour, although I do occasionally work with oils and acrylics. I am always trying new techniques and have been challenging myself with adding more realism to my work.
