With step-by-step guidance from Gracie our friendly tutor, kids will learn how to thread a needle, use a hand crank machine, and combine colourful fabrics into a beautiful patchwork cushion.
Throughout the session, children will explore colour matching, pattern layout, and simple sewing techniques in a relaxed, supportive environment. All materials are provided, and no prior sewing experience is needed – just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!

Gracie Mathews is the best tutor to teach your child, she oozes enthusiasm for everything textile. In addition to teaching and travelling New Zealand for a fabric supplier she has her own business offering a variety of costume and sewing services. The variety includes costume hire, manufacture, costume and sewing experience packages. She continues to share her personal costume and textile collection through symposiums, events and exhibitions.

Children must be aged 8+ years old. Please do not register children under the age of 8 in this class.
What to bring:
All materials are included in the fee. Children can bring a water bottle and snacks.
