Purpose of the Forum
“To protect, sustain and enhance the health of the Tāmaki Estuary by enabling integrated environmental management to achieve minimised pollution and high water quality and biodiversity.”
Tāmaki Estuary Environmental Forum (TEEF) has been operating for over 30 years; its main objective is to help protect the Tāmaki Estuary. It operates as a network and partnership between Auckland Council, 5 local boards (Howick, Māngere-Otāhuhu, Maungakiekie-Tāmaki, Ōrākei, and Ōtāra-Papatoetoe) as well as many other non-governmental organisations, environmental/community groups and non-affiliated individuals in the community who care passionately about the Tāmaki Estuary.
