The MATARIKI GLOW SHOW is back with an all-new, giant-scale puppet show for tamariki, educators and whãnau. The Glow Show’s magical glow-in-the-dark characters are getting ready to celebrate with you at 40 theatres around Aotearoa, alongside the first-ever nationwide Matariki holiday! Bigger, better, bolder; with more music and more characters; this is an upbeat show that ‘edu-tains’ and engages the audience over 50 minutes with patai (Q and A) afterwards. Shorter shows of 30 minutes are designed for 0-5yo. MATARIKI GLOW SHOW 2022 relates to our whakatauki at Matariki, with a strong theme of togetherness! Join author Chelsea Johnson Fischer and illustrator Sharon Campbell in celebrating the launch of their brand new book, Luna the Loon and her Marvelous Tune.

Featuring a live reading of Luna the Loon and her Marvelous Tune with author Chelsea where spot prizes will be given to enthusiastic listeners and playful participants! Later, get stuck in to a creative, collage-based activity with illustrator Sharon inspired by Luna the Loon, Kare the Kiwi and other native New Zealand flora and fauna.
This event is free for all ages with no need to book or RSVP. However, please be mindful to arrive no later than 1:30pm if you’re wanting to attend the book reading so as not to disrupt those attending. Once we get underway, you’re welcome to leave after the live reading or stay for the creative activity!
Children must remain under parental supervision at all times.
