Elise De Silva

I’m a full-time, award winning artist and writer working out of my studio in Auckland. My favourite medium is watercolour, although I do occasionally work with oils and acrylics. I am always trying new techniques and have been challenging myself with adding more realism to my work. I am strongly drawn to dramatic light. I love painting boats and the beautiful reflections in the water. I want my art to evoke beauty and bring people joy and peace.

I am President of the Howick Art Group and a member of the New Zealand Watercolour Society.
I am a passionate plein air painter, and you will often see me around the beaches of Auckland with brushes in hand.
