DESCRIPTION:Join avid crocheter Portia in this Granny Square Crochet workshop and learn the basics of crochet by making your first Granny Squares! \nGranny squares got their name as this used to be how ‘Granny” made a quick and simple crocheted blanket. In more recent times\, creatives\, including Portia have reshaped and modernised the items that can be made the squares. Realising through clever design that contemporary items can be made easily using different colour combinations in the granny squares. Don’t forget to check out our pinterest board for inspiration. \nCrochet is something beginners can learn quickly. DESCRIPTION:The Hooked on Crochet workshop is one of our popular holiday workshops. You may have noticed that crochet and granny squares are right on trend! In this beginner friendly workshop\, tweens and teens will learn how to make colourful granny squares. Once they’ve mastered their skills\, they can then assemble them into a phone or notebook sleeve. This is an easy project to get started and participants will go home with the skills to carry on and finish the project! \nOnce the technique is learnt (it can take some time and practise) then anything is possible.
