My name is Michelle Zhao. I’m Chinese, and a new migrant arrived in New Zealand last October.

Although I’m new here, I’m quite senior about crafts. I have been making leather productions for 7 years. Also, I have a lot of experience making soaps and lipsticks. At the moment, I spend most of my time doing macramé. I learned Chinese knot (similar to macramé) during my high school years.  I have got three years experience running workshops in China. I’m now a facilitator of workshops at an organisation focusing on upcycling where I facilitate leather craft and macrame workshops . I also teach kids art/ kids craft workshops.
