I studied my Bachelor degree in 3D at Unitec NZ and then my Diploma in secondary teaching at Auckland College of Education. I worked as a teacher of Visual Arts and Design at Waitakere college and Kaipara college. I became Head of Visual Arts and Head of the Faculty of Arts at Kaipara, where I also took on the role of arts coordinator, facilitating an annual Arts and Culture Week, an idea I brought from Waitakere College.
I left to pursue my arts practice further and gained my Masters degree in Design at Unitec, majoring in installation and painting.
I have taught children’s and adults’ classes and workshops over the years at Lakehouse Arts Centre, Corbans Estate Arts Centre and Studio One Toi Tu (previously Art Station).
I keep my own practice alive as much as possible and I’m currently reacquainting my relationship with clay.
