Sew a Drawstring backpack in this children’s beginner sewing workshop. Once you’ve made your backpack, there will be no need to carry a bag, you can just wear it and be hands free! These bags are a current craze, they’re not too big, super comfortable and carry all the essentials or extra’s. The Drawstring Backpack is ideal for carrying dance gear, gym gear, swimming gear or just the right size to carry snacks and a drink.
This workshop is for those who have attended previously. It will teach children how to make a drawstring bag with pockets. They will learn the next tricky step by step techniques and processes needed in sewing. Participants will be shown how to join several pieces of fabric together in a very neat manner and learn easy tips and tricks to the bag adding a cute patch pocket to hold their extra’s. Your child will leave feeling inspired and proud after making their own useful bag.
In this workshop we will provide everything needed along with funky fabrics to choose from. An easy project for an absolute beginner to sewing.
