Sew it – Tote it – Rock it! Your tote, your vibe! This fun and stylish sewing workshop is great for all creative kids!
Children will learn how to make their very own trendy tote bag from start to finish. Choose their favourite fabrics, learn sewing machine basics, and leave with a custom tote bag they’ll want to use every day. Perfect for ages 8+ — no experience needed!
Children will be guided by Gracie and shown how to join pieces of fabric together in a very neat manner and learn easy tips and tricks to getting started with their sewing. Your child will leave feeling inspired and proud after making their own tote bag to use made of colours they chose.
In this Sew it – Tote it – Rock it workshop we will provide everything needed along with funky fabrics to choose from. An easy project for children to get inspired with sewing.
Gracie Mathews is the best tutor to teach your child, she oozes enthusiasm for everything textile. In addition to teaching and travelling New Zealand for a fabric supplier she has her own business offering a variety of costume and sewing services including hire, manufacture, costume and sewing experience packages and continues to share her personal costume and textile collection through symposiums, events and exhibitions.
Who is this workshop designed for:
This sewing workshop is for all children who want to give sewing a go! Children must be aged 8+ years old. Please do not register children under the age of 8 in this class.
What to bring:
All art related materials are included in the fee. Children can bring a water bottle and snacks.
