Design Your Own Pillowcase for kids aged 8+

Sew It, Dream It, Sleep on It – Design Your Own Pillowcase

Your colours, your cozy creation.

This fun, hands-on sewing workshop is perfect for creative kids who want to learn the basics of sewing while designing something they’ll use every day – their very own custom pillowcase!

Children will be guided step by step through the process of colour combinations, cutting, and sewing a pillowcase from start to finish. They’ll choose from a range of vibrant fabrics, learn how to safely use a hand crank sewing machine, and discover how simple pieces of fabric can be transformed into a polished, finished project.

PARTICIPANTS WILL LEARN:

Sewing machine basics and safe operation
How to join fabric pieces neatly and accurately
Simple sewing tips and tricks for beginners
How to plan and assemble a functional textile design

By the end of the workshop, each child will leave with a beautiful handmade pillowcase, designed in colours and patterns they chose themselves, plus the confidence and inspiration to keep sewing at home.

All materials are provided, including sewing machines and a great selection of fabrics. This is an ideal first sewing project that encourages creativity, independence, and pride in making something from scratch.
