Mounted Monster Heads holiday workshop for kids aged 8+

Mounted Monster Heads

Get ready for some holiday fun in this two-session Mounted Monster Heads workshop where imagination leaps off the wall!
In the Mounted Monster Heads workshop, kids aged 8+ will design and create their very own 3D monster head sculptures using a dynamic mix of cardboard, wire, recycled materials, and other mixed media.

These are hands-on creative art sessions. Children will learn how to bring their ideas to life by building sturdy wall-mounted armatures, adding texture with found objects, and exploring bold colours using paints and mixed media. Will the monster heads have horns? Fur? Glittering eyes? The sky’s the limit in this imaginative session designed to encourage problem-solving and self-expression. Young creators will be guided step-by-step by our experienced and motivational tutor Maree.

By the end of the Mounted Monster Heads workshop, each child will proudly take home a one-of-a-kind wall-hanging monster artwork ready to scare (or delight!) everyone who sees it.

Perfect for any young makers who love to build, invent, and think outside the box, this workshop is a great way to keep creative minds busy during the school holidays.

All materials are provided. No prior experience needed—just bring your wildest ideas and a sense of fun!

The Mounted Monster Heads workshop has two parts:
