Crochet is something most beginners can learn quickly. A big advantage of making granny squares for your items is you can crochet without having to lug the ‘in progress’ item around with you. You make the squares individually and then stitch them together. You will have opportunity to make blankets, wearable items, cushion covers, fashionable accessories and the list goes on!
The colours you pair will make a big difference on your finished item so choose carefully so you get the effect you want. You may choose to use less colours to get a more subtle look or more colours for vibrant, up to you! Acrylic or cotton wools are best to get started with on your first projects as they don’t fluff when you handle them.
