Deliciously Fake Doughnuts (2 sessions)

Monday 19 & Friday 23 Jan | 1 - 4pm | ages 8+

January 19 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

$82.00
Deliciously Fake Doughnuts. A January School Holiday workshop in Auckland.

Kids, get ready to roll up your sleeves and delve into a delightfully messy, super creative adventure! In this two-part papier-mâché workshop. Kids aged 8+ will sculpt and paint their very own delectable fake on a doughnut sitting on a gorgeous stand – no baking (or sugar) required!

Led by our experienced and inspiring tutor Maree, young artists will learn the fundamentals of sculpture using simple armature and papier-mâché techniques. In the first session kids will use a doughnut design and experiment with shape, texture, and size to build their doughnut artwork from scratch.

Once their doughnuts have dried, it’s time for the icing on top — literally! In the second session, kids will unleash their imaginations and using paints and creative finishing touches, decorate their delicious-looking creations with colourful “frosting”, sprinkles, drizzles, and more. This workshop is perfect for kids who love art, fun, and sweet treats (without the sugar rush). Kids will return home ready to display their doughnuts proudly at home or gifting them as quirky, handmade surprises.

All materials are provided. No prior experience needed—just bring your wildest ideas and a sense of fun!

The Deliciously Fake Doughnuts workshop has two parts:
Session One:  Monday 19 January   1 – 4pm      Children make and create
