Whether you’re a total beginner or already dabble in the arts\, our Paint Carving Workshop is the perfect way to explore a unique artistic medium – no experience needed! \nIn this hands-on workshop\, you’ll learn the basics of paint carving\, a relaxing and rewarding process that transforms simple designs into beautiful\, textured works of art. We’ll start with some playful carving practice on soft mats\, so you can get a feel for the tools and techniques without any pressure. \nThen comes the exciting part – choosing your own design from a curated collection of beginner-friendly and advanced options. From bold geometrics to intricate nature-inspired patterns\, there’s something to suit every style and skill level. \nYou’ll trace your chosen design onto a pre-prepared 20cm round art board\, and your personal masterpiece begins to take shape! Throughout the workshop\, artist Anna will guide you step-by-step\, carving alongside you and sharing her favourite tips\, tricks\, and techniques to help bring your piece to life. \nWhether you’re looking to try something new\, rediscover your creative side\, or refine your carving skills\, this workshop offers a fun\, welcoming environment to create something truly special. \n🎨 No experience required – just bring your curiosity and creativity!\n🖌️ All materials provided\n🖼️ Leave with your own unique carved art board to proudly display \nCome carve\, create\, and be inspired. \n \nWHAT TO BRING?\nThere is nothing that you need to bring to this workshop.\nThe fee for the workshop includes all materials necessary to make a 20cm round paint carving\, so there’s no need to bring anything. \nABOUT YOUR TUTOR:\nAnna says the paint carving process is so therapeutic. 30 layers of Resene Lumbersider paint is applied to a wooden canvas (or oar/paddle) in Anna’s case and then she begins to carve. It’s a true labour of love for sure. Anna designs each piece of art carefully\, using her background in Graphic Design to compose balanced arrangements. For her\, these are predominantly flowers and native birds\, however she has completed a few ocean themed works as well. \nAnna Tang is a practicing artist/tutor who exhibits and sells her artworks.\nTo enquire about artworks for sale\, contact Anna. \n  \nPlease note there is NO refund or a transfer if you cancel less than 7 days in advance or once the class/workshop has started. This hands-on Lamp Making workshop is ideal for anyone looking to add a personal touch to their home decor. \nBy the end of the session\, you’ll have a beautifully made drum lampshade\, approximately 35cm in diameter; moreover\, it will be perfect for a table lamp\, pendant lamp\, or small floor lamp with standard fittings. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn a new craft and create a beautiful\, bespoke lampshade that will fit in perfectly with your home décor. Reserve your spot today and join us for a fun and creative afternoon! \nWHAT’S INCLUDED\nThe Lampshade Making workshop fee covers all necessary materials and tools\, except for the fabric. To personalize your lampshade\, please bring along 0.5 meters of standard width fabric (between 1.2 and 1.5 meters wide). For best results\, we recommend using cotton or linen fabrics. Please avoid bringing silks\, sheers\, or heavy upholstery fabrics like velvet. Bring an apron or painting smock to use while gluing.
