Juliet Lloyd

Juliet was first introduced to Pilates by her Physiotherapist husband, Robert.
Three years after the birth of their twins she was finally ready and able to address her chronic back pain.

From an early age Juliets’ compulsion to move brought her success on the athletics track and a dedication to dance.
She signed her first professional contract at 16 and went on to perform in a wide variety of shows around the world for many years.  A flair for acrobatics coupled with her hyper-mobility, enabled her to specialise as an acrobat/contortionist.

Once Harriet and Alexander were in Nursery school Juliet joined her first Pilates class.
Within a few short weeks she could move free of pain ” . . . I feel like I’m getting my body back!”.
For someone who had been pushing and over extending her body for years, Juliet was amazed at how effective the gentle Pilates exercise could be.

So impressed by the results she enrolled with Body Control Pilates, Covent Garden, London and completed
her training in 2003. She has been teaching in New Zealand for 12 years and takes great satisfaction in sharing her knowledge and passion with her students.
